MILAN (AIMnews.it) – Elettra Investimenti, through its subsidiary Alea Energia, has signed an investment agreement with Seren and its current shareholders, Innowatio and Termigas Bergamo. According to the agreement, Alea Energia will provide its support for the execution of an energy performance contract signed in 2015 between Seren and the Condominio Centrale San Felice. In particular, it will be responsible for the construction, management and maintenance (for 9 years) of a new high-efficiency co-generation plant fueled by methane and a new geothermal plant for the production of electrical and thermal energy. In addition, as per the contract, Alea Energia will proceed to a reserved capital increase equal to 3% of the share capital of Seren and to the disbursement of two loans, for a maximum total amount of 11,500,000 euros. It has also stipulated an agreement between the current shareholders of Seren, concerning the governance of Seren and the granting of the option to sell and purchase, as part of their participation, at a predetermined price. The transfer has been defined in favour of Alea Service by Yousave and Termigas Service, respectively: for a service and supply contract for the gas and electricity of the plant, as well as the service and maintenance of the same plant. The total investment amounts to around 12 million euros. With this transaction, the order portfolio of the Elettra group exceeds € 340 million. “With this transaction – comments the Chairman and CEO of Elettra Investimenti, Fabio Massimo Bombacci – the group’s commitment and growth continues: co-generation for district heating plants is a business area in which we want to continue consolidating our presence in Italy. The San Felice apartment building will be technologically one of the most advanced in Italy as it provides for the integration of co-generation with a high temperature heat pump with thermal storage. We are all extremely satisfied in continuing to position the group in areas that provide cutting edge solutions.”
